Gilvan Lima

A visual artist who found his true calling at the Koisa Nossa Art Gallery in Salvador. Before that, he worked as a lyricist for a large supermarket chain in the city. It was at the gallery that his talent began to develop, focusing on the representation of the Historic Center of Salvador — a theme that would come to mark his artistic career. His precise lines and soft color palette caught the attention of the public and critics, propelling his career beyond the Brazilian borders. Throughout his career, Gilvan participated in solo and group exhibitions in several countries, including Portugal, Germany and the United States, taking his art beyond the Brazilian borders. His legacy lives on through his works, which continue to move and inspire lovers of naive art and Afro-Brazilian culture.
